What is Safe Spokes?

Safe Spokes is an 8-week spring cycling program that equips riders with the skills, confidence, and equipment to ride safely in Windsor-Essex.

The program consists of:

• 1 Social Evening
• 2 Workshops - Road Side Flat Repair & Spring Tune-Up Workshops
• 5 Guided Rides throughout Windsor-Essex
• Surveys at the beginning and end of the program

Participants will be equipped with free CAA lights, U-Lock, and a helmet.

History of Safe Spokes Cycling

Back by popular demand, Safe Spokes is an 8-week spring cycling program that equips 20-30 local riders with the skills, confidence, and equipment to ride safely in Windsor-Essex. The program consists of one social evening, two workshops and five rides through Windsor-Essex.

Applications will be accepted until end-of-day March 22. The selected participants will be notified on March 24. 

Safe Spokes aims to increase the number of people riding bikes in the city of Windsor. Participants will ideally represent a wide diversity of people. Demographic information will be considered when selecting participants.
